Balau

Balau Timber Suppliers

Balau is another extremely strong and durable timber. Rated to strength class D70, it is widely used where maintenance needs to be kept to a minimum. It machines well and while it historically was used in similar ways to Greenheart, it is now limited to decking section sizes. 

Primary Applications of Balau Timber

  • Balau used to be a timber used in Jetties, Groynes and Fendering but now with log export bans from SE Asia it is only stock now by G&A in decking board sections.  

Balau Timber Attributes

  • Strength Class – Equivalent D70 so extremely durable decking board option. 
  • Decking Sizes Available:  21 x 145 and 28 x 145 with varying lengths from 2.4 to 5mts.
